Meet the creators of The Hive

CO-DEVELOPER

ION was founded in 2011 by CEOs Davy Demuynck and Kristof Vanfleteren, along with chairman Paul Thiers. Since its inception, the property developer and real estate investor has already developed more than 396.000 m² completing 151 developments across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The ongoing projects represent a market value of € 2.958 million. ION’s roots and headquarters are in Waregem (Belgium), but the property developer now also has offices in Brussels and Antwerp.

ION builds multi-purpose residential, office, retail and urban developments with high added value, with the ambition of shaping the cities of tomorrow. As one of the largest independent property developers in Belgium, ION specialises in complex mixed projects, including speculative developments, public-private partnerships, and custom projects, in addition to coordinating real estate projects as a project manager. ION attaches great importance to climate-friendly, sustainable solutions, striving to take the lead in this field in the Belgian real estate market.

Green Real Estate, founded in 2005, is a real estate investor specialising in the development, management, and operation of shopping centers, residential complexes, offices, and hotels. With a focus on sustainable value creation, we invest in socially relevant locations from a long-term perspective. As part of Verenigde Ondernemingen Zeeman (V.o.Zee), we build on the solid entrepreneurial foundation of the Zeeman family with an active portfolio strategy.
